Breakfast is followed by check out and departure by bikes to Aberdare Ranges where you enjoy whitewater rafting on Tana River, which flows from the Aberdare and ends up in the Indian Ocean.  You will see scenic landscapes on the way such as the northern highlands (white highlands), Del Monte pineapple estate and coffee plantations. On arrival, have a short briefing on the rafting trip then climb aboard the rafts. The rafts are small semi-rigid with paddles rather than oars with a maximum of five people to a boat. The river varies in temperament according to the recent rainfall in the Aberdare Mountains. There will be lots of excitement interspersed with some very pleasant paddling where you can take in the stunning variety of birdlife. The adventure starts by rafting class II - III rapids for approximately 2 miles (3 km). After that the river slows down and we are able to relax for about an hour or more and view the abundance of birdlife or take a swim. The final 4 miles (7 km) is class III waters and a class IV rapid just for fun. Break for lunch in the bush then proceed with an afternoon session. You will spend the afternoon "surfing" the rapids with your boat and getting out of the raft for some adrenaline pumping adventure. After rafting you will have a bush barbecue by the river before transfer to your lodge / camp for a relaxing evening

Descend back to the mountain foot then ride back to your lodge for lunch.
