Highlights: Join us on an exciting 2 day road trip to Kimana Sanctuary which is just 45mins away from Amboseli National Park; a wonderful place to observe peaceful and relaxed animals in a beautiful environment. Driving along the river you’ll be shaded by yellow fever
trees, with grey-headed kingfishers darting along the banks and vervet monkeys keeping a watchful eye on you from the lower branches. Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelles, zebra, eland and a thriving population of warthogs live in this park.
Early departure from Nairobi by 0630hrs then drive through Mombasa road to Emali and Loitoktok and approach Isineti and enter Kimana Sanctuary with the whole journey taking about 3.5-4hrs. You will check in then have a mid-morning exploration of the park which has a thriving population of game - wildebeest and zebra aplenty as well as Thompson's and Grant's gazelles, eland, impala, warthog, bushbuck, baboons, giraffe, waterbuck and buffalo. Not to mention of course the majestic elephants that pass through the area. The birding along the river is also spectacular so bring your binoculars! Have a lunch break at the camp then explore the park some more till evening. Overnight: Kimana Campsite
Enjoy a hearty breakfast then enjoy a morning game drive in the park which offers spectacular sceneries as well as the majestic Kilimanjaro towering in the distance. Watch the elephants as they go out to graze and enjoy a view of many other animals as compared to Amboseli National Park. After the morning game drive you will return to the camp and pack up your stuff in readiness for the return journey to Nairobi. Carry some packed lunch with you and drive back to Nairobi arriving by evening for transfer to your most preferred location in the city.
